The final game of 1980?

I used to play a video game on my old computer (forgot what kind of computer), but the game was a displacement-type side. You would control the character was red and white and walked collecting things and shoot at enemies. Is there a list of old computer games somewhere on the network since the 1980s? I tried Wikipedia but I played the game was not there. Thanks!
