All Your Video Gaming Needs

OK, this question is for Baby Boomers out there – and be honest!

Who knows more about hardware, software, games, blogs, chats, 'My Space' Â'Your Space ',' Our Space ', Â'Their spacee', – spacee Â'Your dog ", his cats, hamsters and goldfish spacee … Aruggggh!
So you get the drift.
But the truth – Are you or your children?

Do not think so? Well let me see a show of hands. Can you download the 'golden oldies rock' and disco tunes from your computer to your iPod or what you have to get one of your kids to help you?
I do!
Yes, and if not registered in the "Computer Geeks future and Star Trek fans in America," thirty or forty years of competition is not?

For example, by acquiring new cell phone with about a zillion features that never knew existed, much less is needed is suspected, you are reduced to whining to help one of contempt for children who look like you're drooling, idiot people of cyberspace. And then, as if to confirm his humble status, as Luddite of the information age, with indifference and scroll through the program of all the functions you know you'll never remember how to use and much less to be able to log in again.

But wait – wait, we have the generation that gave the computer world's first "house", the Apple, the Mac, ????! PC

Why us "baby boomers" practically freaking invented the Internet, thank you very much!
And while I'll admit that might have had a little help from big mainframe computers that the military has each hole hidden under mountain in the Rockies, was the baby boomers, who came up with all the hardware such as printers and modems and disk drives or storage devices and software to make everything work. Boomers "Yes, when it comes to technology that rocked!
Are not we? Used to rock? I mean – Oh, the past tense. Yeah … Hmmm.

So what happened? Exactly when did we become the 'Grandma Grumpy Grandpa "and" Moses "of on-line cyber life?

"We're not!" I hear someone screaming. "Why Why use the computer to pay my bills and even make it in online travel thing "(even with as much finesse as the" roaming gnome ").

OKA … but how many chatrooms yours? How many groups 'Buddy' Are you part of? How many blogs do a week ago … one day … an hour?!

Ah-ha, I figured.

You see while Boomers were experimenting with ever more of those little cold for 1 binary and zeros in smaller and smaller chips of silicon and the transformation of vacant land outside of San Jose in the semiconductor industry multimillion dollar Silicon Valley, which never gave all that much thought as to what people really going to do with the little gizmo.

I remember attending a Chamber Electronics back in the 80s, where I saw a nifty little keyboard that was being touted as a gadget of equipment that was actually aimed at the … GASP – Of consumers. The techie showing that said they would call a "Home Computer". I found that drilling with a long series of keys, could actually make the lines on the screen change different colors! Why Is not it great? I went straight to buy one.
"It gives the honey child, I told my wife when she asked in amazement, what the hell were we to do with a keyboard … in our house?
"Why link only to television in the kitchen, and someday, you will be able to store all your recipes of love. "
"Yes, when pigs fly ", I heard him mutter as he walked away." But I really bought it for the kids, "I shouted after her.

Then spent the next three weekends trying to teach a four and six years, how to enter into long streams of code on the key board so that the display changes color. It was not a happy experience. The only thing that kept me from using the official dunce of the family of "classic blunders bone head" was the appearance Pong. Yes! I was saved.
Now children can spend hours in front of mindless television, electronically crush a ball back and forth cyber.
"It will help develop computer skills," one of my engineer friends told me haughtily. (I think he said something that involved with flying pigs.)

But you know what? He was right. Not only future generations of video games, internet chat rooms and "his space "to turn the rug rats 'adorable' experts in computer science and programming genius, but change the world we live, work and played unchanged for ever.

So the conclusion is, not feel as bad the next time you have to hang up his old gray head and ask one of your children or any young computer guru to help put out that damn ring tone on your cell phone that plays' Old MacDonald had a farm "every Once the damn thing sounds. After all, were the ones who started the information age barrier to the future.
And who knows, maybe someday a lot of help and a little luck, they may even be able to use all the things we've invented.

As my wife … "When pigs fly".
