Usually when we think of good aerobic activity, the type that experts agree leads to a healthier life, we do not video games. However, with the recent release of Wii Fit (for the, ahem, Wii), all we know may be wrong.
First, I want to make you not always (always) as good a workout from a video game as you would in a gym with motivated people around you. That does not mean the idea that Wii Fit is not good, is simply not designed to give you a great workout. The Wii Fit is designed to sell, and for that should be fun. The game (yes, it's a game) is definitely the fun on many levels, achieving 80 comments gamerankings.com% on average.
The problem I see with the Wii Fit is that it is trying to combine two things one that really should not be mixed, in my opinion. It is trying to combine video games, a general of the United Nations, aerobic activity is certainly fun with exercise, a healthy activity that is generally not fun.
Right when it was released, I was thinking that the reviewers of bash video games as being cheesy and not fun at all. I also thought that health experts criticize him for being a terrible workout, and really an excuse.
Man, do I wrong. Game reviewers generally liked the Wii Fit, and health experts, though not recommended as a training awesome, finally accepted like a decent attempt.
The point I am trying to make here is that if you play video games much and are thinking of starting to exercise, do not get the Wii Fit. You will find 'trap' a lot in games, and you will not get more than half-decent training. You would be much more successful if tied on some shoes and went running. No, I know its not going to be fun, that's my point! At the same time, people who exercise a lot and have never played a video game, skip the Wii Fit. You will definitely have a bad opinion of video games if the Wii Fit is the first to play.
